Job Summary

The U.S. SailGP Team is looking for a Videographer & Editor responsible for editing and producing video content for the team’s digital and social platforms. This role will work in collaboration with the digital marketing manager and be responsible for editing both long form features and short form videos. This individual is a strong editor who has a passion for crafting compelling stories. The role will be expected to illuminate and elevate the team’s brand through short-form and long-form video content. In addition to creating feature video content, this person will be capturing and editing content at events, community appearances, player shoots, press conferences, and a variety of other projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shoot and edit digital content for social media
  • Deliver real-time content on race days
  • Create and catalog key racing highlights / manage organization of all footage and edits
  • Ideate new and innovative content ideas
  • Edit quick-turn daily social content in line with current trends
  • Embed with the US SailGP Team at 12-15 races around the world
  • Shoot and edit content on site at each race
  • Help bring the story of the US SailGP Team and it’s key members to life

 

Background

  • Experience creating content with viral potential for social media
  • Sports background preferred but not required

 

Requirements

  • A good understanding of social media / social media culture, especially TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Youtube / Youtube shorts
  • Experience editing social first content with a test and learn mentality
  • Willingness to travel and work race weekends
  • A ‘Never Give Up’ mindset and a hunger to be the best
  • Comfortable being on the water / shooting from a moving boat
  • Camera & Editing Equipment (Sony preferred but not required)

Salary

  • 12 Month Contract $60,000-$80,000 USD
