Our nonprofit client is on a mission to provide affordable housing in America, having saved more than 500,000 homeowners with an unaffordable mortgage from foreclosure during the mortgage crisis. They’re now expanding their team to included another Video Specialist with a passion to join the cause and get their message out to the community via high-impact video content.
You will be one of three Video Specialists, with a focus on storytelling, producing, shooting, and editing video stories and/or event recaps.
This role is fully onsite 4 days/week in Jamaica Plain. Typical hours are 50+ hours/week, including travel nationally 1-2 times per month. (Travel typically involves 3 to 4 days at a specific city and shooting homeowner stories and events for the clients website and social channels.)
Video Specialist Responsibilities:
- Create, review and edit content with detail and be accessible for preproduction, production, post-production meetings in a fast-paced environment.
- Set up, test, and re-pack all audio and video equipment during events
- Ability to be resourceful; create new and exciting content with existing imagery and assets.
- Help evolve and elevate company digital presence by creating designs for all online projects based on changing industry trends and standards.
- Operate studio video cameras, DSLRs, GoPros, Mirrorless cameras, professional cameras, camera stabilizers
- Develop concepts and campaigns for multiple departments for use across various mediums, with an emphasis on digital and video executions.
- Produce and maintain high-level ideas that originate from multiple departments into compelling marketing assets.
- Oversee and provide direction on creative content to ensure it is on-brand and optimized for audience journeys across multiple mediums such as web, social, email, video, A/V, print and other.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues
- Organize media files, catalogue, upload and archive
Video Specialist Requirements
- Bachelors Degree (preferably in Communications) or equivalent work experience is required
- Experience photo/video experience as camera operator, photographer and editor
- Minimum 2 years of experience in live, multi-camera studio production preferred, with related video camera operator experience is required (cameras, Jibs etc.)
- Podcast experience desirable
- Physical strength to carry heavy equipment and stamina, able to lift and move equipment up to 40 lbs
- Ability to travel and work long hours, weekends during events across the US and in our new Atlanta TV Studio
- Ability to write and speak languages other than English, particularly Spanish, is a plus.
