Role Overview

The Video Editor, Social Media will edit content for posting on social media platforms that will provide engaging content for our target audiences. You will collaborate across the Creative Services department to include graphic design and copywriting. Our Video Editor, Social Media will be tasked with taking the raw footage and turning it into the final product. This means following an outline, script or shot list and assembling the footage into one cohesive video or film. Often in video and film work, there are many camera angles and takes recorded. It your responsibility to review all the footage and create the best output by cutting and connecting various footage, adding sound effects and graphics, and fine-tuning the completed video or film.

Objectives of this role

  • Implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
  • Participate in collaborative meetings to develop social video strategies and concepts
  • Follow production deadlines and adhere to a schedule
  • Study and enhance new editing techniques and styles
  • Remain abreast social media trends and competitors
  • Experiment with new features, and always working to optimize our channels

Responsibilities

  • Produce and edit social first videos for all types of social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter
  • Execute all required post-production tasks including video|audio editing, color grading, and color correction
  • Create social teasers, input music, graphics, and effects to existing videos
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in style and quality, and optimized for search and user experience for all content channels
  • Consult with the Creative Director to brainstorm and storyboard video concepts

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in editing videos for social media and creating engaging, short-form content preferred
  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software (E.G. FINAL CUT PRO, DAVINCI, OR PREMIERE)
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills
  • Solid Attention to detail
  • Timely knowledge of social design features and trends
  • BA|BS degree or equivalent working experience in financial analysis or similar role
  • English, additional language(s) an advantage
  • Schedule of this position: Monday – Friday | Core business hours | Onsite
