About The Role

Fora is looking for a Senior Video Editor to join our growing creative team. This position will primarily focus on creating content for social media, paid ads, and trailers, as well as ad hoc video projects. The ideal candidate will have a great eye for design, strong admiration for visual storytelling, and has great communication, with a love of travel and obsession with hotels.

The creative team is small but mighty, so the ideal addition will be excited to collaborate with, learn from, and mentor team members. Applicants must show a strong sense of short and long form video editing, sound mixing, and animation in addition to showing a wide range of creative styles, have an understanding of up to date video trends and possess a marketing mindset. This role will join a team of editors and creatives, reporting to the Brand Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Develop content from conceptualization and brainstorming, to storyboarding and editing
  • Create content across several projects ensuring alignment with brand messaging and guidelines, and are consistently cohesive to create a strong visual brand
  • Edit short-form social content (0:05 – 0:45), broadcast spots, and trailers, including sound design, color correction, variation options, and animation
  • Find strong scenes for clip pulls and know where to begin and end clips for optimal reference and shareability

Weekly YouTube:

  • Recording/Shooting different video segments based upon overall brand strategy
  • Editing the video to being in line with brand strategy and guidelines

Video Creation:

  • Filming content at events (travel would be required for some events) & creating event recaps for all digital channels (both long form & short)

YouTube Channel Growth:

  • Looking at video data to improve future videos
  • Other ideas for growing the channel

Social Media:

  • YouTube Clips
  • Editing any UGC videos
  • Instagram Videos

Ad Creative:

  • Create Video Ad Creative for Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube Ads; the inclusion of shooting, producing + editing,

Other:

  • Product Instructional videos
  • Product Sales Videos

About You

We are looking for a videographer to help us take our video production to the next level. The ideal candidate is also willing to become an expert on the content we produce as well, so they can take on growth opportunities that align with our content team’s knowledge. The role is encouraged to go beyond camera operation and to contribute creative ideations and direction, organizational leadership, and innovative new approaches to their work.

  • +4 years of experience producing, capturing, and editing high-quality content at an agency or studio
  • Excellent sense of storytelling, timing, and motion, with an understanding of quality video assets and concepts of both long and short form content
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance creative direction and efficient processes
  • Excellent communication, including comfort giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere, understanding of After Effects and Photoshop, with emphasis in motion graphics and text animation
  • Prior experience helping manage a team
  • Expert shot selection and composition understanding
  • Positive attitude and outstanding creative approach to problem solving

Compensation

  • $90k – 110k salary + equity

This role is full-time, based in New York City with a hybrid WFH & office schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are our in-office days) .
