Job Description

HPE’s Global Communications team has more than 100 communicators across the globe that advocate our corporate strategy, culture, reputation, and innovations. We are storytellers, creatives, producers and journalists, and the heart of HPE’s news engine.

As part of Global Communications, the HPE Digital and Creative Services team is looking for a Senior Video Editor and Media Asset Manager with proven expertise in the latest video editing techniques and software solutions to join an award-winning team of video and webcast professionals. A proficient knowledge in media asset management is required as this role will also provide oversight and governance of digital workflows and rich media management.

This Is a Multi-faceted Role

  • Media Asset Manager: the ideal candidate will have knowledge of and experience with Media Asset Management software and be the subject matter expert for the Creative Services team to trouble shoot, train team members and support workflow efficiencies for video and webcast productions.
  • Senior Video Editor: you will work alongside Creative Services producers, associate producers and creative management as the lead editor for high-profile video projects produced out of Global Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Edit short- and long-form video for Global Communications and Creative Services clients
  • Provide editorial expertise to produce world-class video productions, as well as fast & casual content suitable for digital and social media channels
  • Stay current on editing techniques and software solutions
  • Evaluate, develop and drive strategies to maximize digital asset workflow efficiencies for Creative Services
  • Execute on the communications needs of various internal clients (Producers, senior leaders, Communications Leads and HPE business units) crafting messages that are impactful and lead to desired objectives.
  • Provide consultancy to define policy and police standards to maintain media asset management for content ingest and digital file specifications
  • Manage and direct assigned agencies or contractors in collecting key content from HPE Discover and other shows not produced by HPE Creative Services
  • Manage the relationships with Marketing and their production contractors to maintain a productive partnership for gathering and sharing assets via Iconik
  • Partner with Communications technology team, to manage vendor relationships and budgets associated with the recurring costs associated with the Iconik system

Education And Experience Required

  • BA or BS in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years of experience in employee communications, journalism or marketing.
  • 5+ years as a video editor
  • Material exposure to and experience with a media asset management system

Knowledge And Skills

  • Video editing expertise with Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro
  • Functional understanding and experience with animation programs (Adobe After Effects)
  • Knowledge of the latest editing techniques that drive engagement in digital channels
  • Experience with Media Asset Manager tools, workflows and governance
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills
  • Organization and program management skills
  • Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of employee communications methodologies, tools and vehicles.
