Job Description

The Lead Videographer/Producer/Editor is responsible for supporting Internal Communications packages and live video broadcasts with engaging content across Nielsen’s video channels. This role works closely with the Internal Comms leads and the Executive Producer, Video to deliver a strategic multimedia offering that compliments and enhances our suite of deliverables to associates around the globe. This is an exciting role that is essential to amplifying our executive messaging and building company awareness for better employee engagement, operational excellence, growth of the business and a stronger work culture.

This role focuses on creating a wide range of video for Internal Communications. From live broadcasts to executive interviews and explainers consisting of text animations, stock footage and supporting graphics, you will be on the front lines of producing our content from inception to shoot to post production and delivery. Whether it’s one leader delivering a pre-recorded message, or a team of 10 speakers in a live setting, you are ready to make the event shine. Our video operations roles are all hybrid remote, operating out of the NYC office up to 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the EP, Internal Communications Video, you’ll support video initiatives and maintain the day-to-day operations of the multimedia production team at this fast-paced audience measurement, data, and analytics company
  • Plan and execute company wide live broadcasts from a dedicated webinar platform that stream to our YouTube channel with calm, professionalism and impeccable attention to detail
  • Plan, shoot, edit and deliver high quality video for use in company wide communications initiatives
  • Project manage, plan, estimate, research, develop, and coordinate the design, production, and implementation of broadcast, video and photography products as needed by the Internal Communications team
  • Support a wide range of Internal Communications directives and websites with the creation of short form video, remote live broadcasts and graphics according to briefs provided by our stakeholders
  • Effectively use Nielsen branding and visual identity elements to deliver clear, consistent messages that inform and engage audiences
  • Collaboratively work with the full spectrum of employees to schedule and produce their participation in video projects that feature their voices
  • Work with the Internal Communications team to maintain smooth workflows, organize assets and deliverables and follow a repeatable template for successful projects
  • Inspire a culture of optimism, competitiveness and creative excellence among our communications team and agency partners by demonstrating the Nielsen Values daily
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior production staff

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Film, Broadcasting, Communications or related field)
  • Minimum 4+ years of video production work experience, with roles of demonstrated flexibility and growth
  • Strong video editing and storytelling skills, with ability to create engaging content in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in broadcast and live event production (TriCaster and/or similar switchboard operation is preferred along with familiarity running events in Riverside, Google Meet live stream, and Zoom)
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficient specifically with Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Proficiency with graphic design, motion graphics, photography, sound engineering, video camera operation, set lighting techniques, broadcast set design and on-air talent direction up to and including the executive level
  • Strong time management and project management skills desired – must be agile and able to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Google Suite proficiency
  • Ability to commute into our NYC office as needed, sometimes on short notice
  • Event coverage and headshot photography experience is a plus
