Position Information
The Mid Level Motion Video Editor will be responsible for supporting the video team in bringing our brand and products to life through captivating videos and engaging videos for instore, social and advertisements. The role will be to support and report to the video department lead while partnering with senior video editors, art directors, copy writers and designers from our studio in NYC, SOHO location.
The Motion Video Editor will primarily use Davinci Resolve for video editing. A hybrid skill set approach is a plus using Adobe After Effects for type treatments, 2D GFX animations, light compositing and editing for short form videos. Hands on production and on set shooting experience for in-house product and model shots is a plus. Will train transition from adobe premiere to Davinci Resolve if necessary. Experience with beauty and fashion trends is recommended.

Position Responsibilities
- Support in the edit , concept and execution of creative short form videos using DaVinci Resolve. Adobe After Effects, Premier.
- Create application videos, digital ads, in store videos, social media posts, UGC, pdp’s, web banners, animations, philanthropy content and interviews.
- Create, implement, and maintain typographic treatments for videos.
- Create and animate graphics or composite graphics treatments for videos.
- Reformat and resizing of video and typographical assets for different distribution sizes.
- Color correct, retouch, object removal or composing of model or product videos a plus.
- Ingest, organize, prepare raw footage, and make selections for editing.
- Assist in organizing & maintaining data management and post-production workflows.
- Support and improve established post-production workflow to assist delivery of final assets.
- Collaborate and receive feedback and with art directors, copy writers, video editors and video department lead.
- Assist with in-house video as needed video shooting and knowledge of lighting a plus.
- Make compelling video content in line with the Chantecaille luxury beauty esthetic.
Position Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience primarily as a short form Motion Video Editor showcasing a strong portfolio of video projects/motion graphics work or Photography.
- Expert experience with video editing, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premier, Adobe After Effects.
- Mastery of design fundamentals including typography, layout, and color is a desired.
- Knowledge of industry standard Plug ins
- Proactive, team player, creative problem-solving skills, flexibility to adapt and meet changing timelines and deliverables.
- Detail-oriented, technical, organized with a strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Strong understanding of specs/requirements for digital platforms
- Time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience or interest in Luxury Beauty, Jewelry, or Fashion Industry.
